CGI Contract Work; Terms and Conditions:

Clients that require computer graphics work should read the following:

WHAT I PROVIDE:

- An image sequence in .TGA or .TIF format (images can supplied with or without embedded alphas 24 or 32-bit).
- Images can be provided on the following media types: CDR, CDRW, DVD-R, or DVD+R.
- Client is responsible for courier and media costs.

REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO START:

- 30% payment up front by certified check or money order. US or Canadian funds are acceptable. Non-certified checks will not be accepted.
- If client wishes to pay by wire, wire transfer costs are the responsibility of the client.
- Contract signed by the client(s). If there are partners in a firm, ALL of the partners must sign the contract. I will provide the contract, and can fax or mail it out. Contract is to be faxed back to me with required signature(s). If I agree to it, I will fax a copy back with my signature. 3D work will not commence without a signed contract, regardless of who the client is.

WHAT I DO:

- 3D Computer-Generated Imagery for ad. material (television or print material).
- Visualisations / Architectural walk-throughs, and design work.
- 3D Computer-Generated Imagery for web pages (animated GIFs, stills, CinePak AVI files).
- Build 3D models and scenes (lighting, animation, and texturing).
- Setup and execute 3D CGI shots. Storyboard required.
- Some compositing.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:

- 30 seconds is a long time for a rendered sequence. Many CGI shots only last for about 3 to 10 seconds each.
- For NTSC video, it's 30 frames per second, and each frame is 1 MegaByte.
- If you need a corporate video done, be prepared to supply an Adobe Illustrator version of the logo, or a bitmap image of 800x600 resolution or higher.
- If there's text in a project, I need to know what font you want used, and may even request the True Type font itself.
- The visual concept should be locked down before the beginning of the CGI process. Requested changes during the actual 3D design process are expensive, and time consuming. The client will be billed extra for all changes made.
